Window Contractor Sales
About the role
The Window Contractor Sales person executes all aspects of our sales call process and strategies, facilitating and coordinating business activities of accounts and executing PARR sales initiatives. Their primary focus is supporting the sales team by creating quotes, processing orders, and helping to manage construction schedules. Interacts daily with Location Managers and both internal and external customers. Interacts regularly with corporate employees (Central Purchasing Department, Account Management Team, and IT Department). Interacts regularly with vendor representatives and industry associates.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintains professional relationships with customers
- Communicates with wide number of customers in Residential Construction industry, and helps to sell and manages the timely flow of building materials to their jobsite
- Expertly uses, promotes & facilitates PARR Bridge Strategy
- Proactively set, reach for, and meet (or exceed) personal sales and profit goals
- Primary player in deepening customer relationship and scheduling timely material shipments ensuring account profitability as well as customer satisfaction & loyalty
- Able to sell on overall quality, value, and service, rather than price
- Precisely and efficiently manage one's time and prioritize workflow in face paced environment
- Sends pictures of returns to dispatch with request for pickup
- Maintains customer profiles in Outlook or CRM to include full name, company name, title, office number, cell number, email, and matrix
- Walks customer to product in store
- Introduces himself/herself to customer and uses customer's name when possible
- Manages their open orders to ensure orders are being invoiced in a timely manner or deleted
- Takes action to achieve objectives; does not wait for management directive
- Follows best practices in order entry, setting up deliveries and all aspects of job
- Follows SPC guidelines and proper GP%
- Completes PO's on time, confirms confirmation and ties PO to order
- Greets walk-in customers professionally
- Answers phone promptly with professional greeting
- Identifies customer's urgency and completes orders quickly
- Sets up customer's material needs prior to ordering product
- Exceeds profitable SPC pricing guidelines
- Completes quotes and follows up in a timely manner
- Proactive with customer's needs
- Maintains a PARR share file for customer plans and take-offs
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 2 years sales experience preferred
- Prior experience in the building materials industry preferred
- Class C driver’s license and must have and maintain a good driving record required
- Must be able to operate personal computer, smartphone, scanner, and any other equipment necessary for the job
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to speak, write, and read English required
- Knowledge of building materials and their uses
- Proven ability to develop relationships that translate into new business for PLC
- Knowledge of PARR purchasing principles, practices, and protocols
- Ability to aggressively pursue company’s best interest when selling to customers
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to daily changing needs of customers and PLC
- Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and as a leader within your own sales cohort with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to excellence
- Ability to appropriately manage stress and interact with others
Skills

Pay
$61,603-$78,403 annually
Schedule
The working conditions for the sales position are divided between time in an office with a desk and being out interacting with potential and current customers.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to grasp, talk, hear, and operate a computer and keyboard
- Must be able to occasionally lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds and carry objects 50 feet
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Both local and overnight travel may be required
