Wind Technician III; Golden Hills Wind, Livermore, CA

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Executes Safety Management System procedures and instructions
• Conducts field work in compliance with OSHA applicable regulations
• Encourage good employee safety practices
• Drive an unparalleled employee safety culture
• Work outdoors and at heights inside and outside of the elements
• Troubleshoot and maintain electrical components
• Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical components
• Perform routine annual preventative maintenances of wind turbine components
• Operate the tablet provided to each technician
• Collaborate with internal NextEra users to develop and implement operation focused feedback and solutions
• Recruit and develop other technicians for the ongoing development of team
• Support the site manager for all phases of timely safety and environmental reporting, maintenance, financial reporting, and turbine availability
• Participate in Business Lean Six Sigma processes and projects
• Support the career development and Partners in Performance programs driving the annual merit & incentives rewards

Required Qualifications

• High School Grad / GED
• 0+ years of experience
• Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
• Ability to climb a wind turbine up to 300 feet

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree

Pay & Benefits

The estimated base pay for this position is $51,200.00 to $76,800.00 per year. Starting pay will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, job-related and industry knowledge and skills and education/training.
