Wind Hub Manager - Illinois 4
Strategic role accountable for building long-term customer relationships, driving optimized operations, fiscal management, and hub safety. Responsibilities include leading a hub team, managing daily operations, turbine output, and exemplifying excellence in leadership, safety, quality control, and financial oversight. Partners closely with customers to ensure alignment with GE operational excellence and manages all resources and logistics required for service and maintenance activities.
Responsibilities
- People Leadership
- Provide leadership to support a multi-site service hub.
- Initiate and support staffing requirements, coaching, training, corrective action, and succession planning for employees and contracted partners.
- Own the safety culture within the hub, including contracted partners and customers.
- Execute daily Plan of the Day calls to prioritize and manage the dispatch schedule.
- Customer Point of Contact
- Adopt a customer-focused approach to build long-term relationships and deliver business objectives while meeting contractual requirements.
- Partner with the Customer Performance Manager (CPM) and escalate customer concerns with priority.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Commercial Operations, Sourcing, Finance, and HR to meet deliverables.
- Turbine Return to Service
- Prioritize turbine performance to meet or exceed performance commitments.
- Multi-site Leadership
- Lead operations across Bennington, Blooming Grove, and Top Hat Wind farms in Central Illinois.
- Be innovative and engaged in all areas of facility operations, aligned with individual site plans, including creative problem-solving with LEAN thinking.
- Ensure weekly visits to each site and drive a safety-focused culture.
- Grow customer relationships and foster team engagement and development.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including leadership roles.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in field services or an equivalent role in the energy industry.
- Ability and willingness to travel within the hub, including overnights.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (desired).
- Technical Certification in Wind Energy or Electrical/Electronic field (desired).
- Advanced computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, facility control and management systems, and diagnostic/troubleshooting tools.
- Wind turbine or energy industry experience (desired).
- Advanced electrical, mechanical, and/or hydraulic experience, including the use of hydraulic power tools.
- Experience with heavy equipment required for facility maintenance, including knowledge of crane and rigging requirements.
- Comprehensive writing skills to meet contractual reporting obligations.
- Strong functional knowledge of Operations and Maintenance best practices, planning, organizing, coordinating, executing, and controlling wind hub activities.
- Experience with productivity improvements and operational excellence in outage management.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to embrace and adapt to change and influence others.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability, willingness, and adaptability to take initiative and work without direct supervision.
- Ability to work with a wide variety of personnel at all levels inside and outside the Wind Hub.

Pay
For candidates applying to a U.S.-based position, the pay range is between $91,400.00 and $152,200.00. The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility includes a discretionary annual bonus.
