About the Role

The Willow Maintenance Representative - Mechanical will support the Willow Project, a major development in the Bear Tooth Unit of the Western North Slope. This role focuses on ensuring the operability, maintainability, and long-term success of the Willow Central Facility (WCF) and Drill Sites (BT1/2/3) during fabrication, commissioning, and startup. The position will transition into the long-term Willow Operations & Maintenance (O&M) organization, representing O&M needs within the project team.

The work schedule and location will be dynamic, requiring flexibility and travel. Estimated timeline:

• Q3 2026 – Q2 2027: Fabrication yard, Ingleside, TX
• Q3 2027 – Q4 2027: North Slope, AK (rotational) + Anchorage, AK (CPAI Office)
• Q1 2028+: North Slope, AK

Responsibilities

• Safety Leadership: Apply field operational experience to HSE processes, influencing Process Safety from engineering controls to O&M procedures. Support company and business unit safety initiatives, process adaptations, and environmental/cultural compliance.
• Fabrication, Installation & Commissioning: Provide hands-on support for fabrication and commissioning in the fabrication yard and on the North Slope. Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) with vendors to ensure operability and maintainability.
• Operations Readiness Planning: Collaborate with the Willow Readiness Lead to develop and execute operational readiness scope, including standard operating procedures, preventive maintenance plans, workflows, and documentation management.
• Design Input: Provide O&M input into final design changes for the WCF and Drill Sites, balancing near-term project costs with long-term O&M value. Identify and resolve design issues affecting operability, reliability, maintainability, and safety.
• Production Startup & Well Delivery: Support full-field production startup, early operations, and well delivery for a high-value, fast-paced program.
• Inclusive Behavior: Foster a collaborative, one-team environment, engaging with local and corporate functional leads, partners, and vendors.
• BU O&M Engagement: Interface with North Slope O&M personnel, providing updates to Alaska Operations, Maintenance, and leadership. Represent long-term O&M needs and escalate project issues as needed.
• Cross-functional Communication: Lead initiatives and conversations outside your area of expertise to support O&M Readiness, including information management, materials and spares, subsurface engineering, and global technical functions.
• Innovation and Digital Technology: Support the implementation of O&M technologies and work processes, such as Digital Control of Work systems, Advanced Surveillance, Digital Twin, and Condition-Based Monitoring tools.
• Value Impact Awareness: Provide input into operating cost estimates for the project lifecycle and support risk mitigation for O&M costs and project value.

Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid/current driver’s license.
• 5+ years of arctic industrial mechanical maintenance experience.
• Intermediate knowledge of industrial mechanical and rotating equipment, maintenance, and material handling systems for oil/chemical processing, gas compression, power generation, utilities, chemical treating, and wells.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to work a 14-days on/14-days off shift schedule.
• Willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time, domestically and internationally.
• Able to meet physical demands and work environment requirements outlined in the job description.

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of oil & gas mechanical maintenance experience.
• 3+ years of experience working with engineering contractors and vendors in project design or execution.
• 1+ years in an O&M leadership role (e.g., Maintenance Lead, Projects Lead).
• 1+ years of experience with O&M readiness, commissioning, startup planning, execution, or early operations.
• Intermediate knowledge of Operations Excellence (OE), Operability Assurance (OA), and Operating Management System (OMS) standards and procedures.
• Ability to innovate and consider solutions outside the North Slope paradigm.
• Ability to evaluate complete project lifecycle costs and adapt as new information becomes available.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across functions and organizational boundaries.
• Demonstrated ability to manage tasks efficiently with minimal oversight.
