About the Role
As a Wildlife Keeper, you will provide thorough and consistent daily care and maintenance of both the resident bird and marine life population and their enclosures at Sea Life Park Hawaii and educate guests regarding birds and marine life. This is a variable hour (part time) position.
Responsibilities
- Daily examinations and feeding of birds and marine life housed at the park.
- Facilitate veterinary examination and care of birds and marine life.
- Daily care and maintenance of the bird and marine life exhibits and rehabilitation areas including cleaning, pruning, raking, laundry etc.
- Daily record keeping, maintain the files for the department including all animal records.
- Observe and report trends of unusual injuries or behaviors to veterinary staff.
- Give daily scheduled lectures to the public pertaining to birds and marine life in Hawaii.
- Maintenance of department supplies and equipment.
- Respond to informational questions from guests.
- Additional duties as needed.
