About the role
The WIF Innovation & Fabrication Lead at Switch is responsible for supply chain execution for the White Iron Forest program. Key responsibilities include leading end-to-end supply chain planning and execution for WIF materials, monitoring inventory, supplier capacity, lead times, and delivery schedules, identifying risks, and providing clear reporting to senior leaders.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end supply chain planning and execution for WIF materials, from sourcing through delivery.
- Build and maintain material plans aligned with engineering releases, fabrication schedules, and construction milestones.
- Maintain inventory, supplier capacity, lead times, and delivery schedules.
- Adjust plans when changing conditions put cost, quality, or schedule commitments at risk.
- Identify risks involving long-lead materials, supply interruptions, quality issues, and component obsolescence.
- Lead mitigation plans and escalate decisions that require senior leadership input.
- Support supplier qualification, onboarding, and performance tracking against quality, safety, and delivery expectations.
- Manage purchase order execution and support supplier agreements in partnership with procurement and legal.
- Serve as the escalation point for WIF supply chain issues and drive resolution.
- Deliver clear KPI reporting on schedule, risk, cost, and supplier performance.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or manufacturing operations.
- Experience supporting complex infrastructure, construction, or data center programs.
- Proven ownership of high-value materials or equipment from sourcing through delivery.
- Working knowledge of supplier management, inventory planning, logistics, and forecasting.
- Ability to analyze schedules, lead times, and supplier performance to identify risks and recommend action.
- Experience using ERP systems, Excel, and project management tools.
- Ability to provide clear updates and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Preferred: experience with data centers, steel fabrication, or other mission-critical construction programs.
