About the role
This position will work with Public Health and will serve as the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Regional Coordinator. Incumbent will provide direct supervision to WIC staff and oversee clinical operation in multiple counties and clinics.
Responsibilities
- Develop objectives and organizational plans for the effective delivery of services.
- Oversee the interview and hire process, assist in employee training, conduct performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
- Oversee, nutritional education process using Participant Centered Education.
- Work under the direction of the Northeast Region WIC Program Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a social, community, health, education, or nutritional field and four (4) years of experience in WIC or other experience in food service, dietetics, or other health field, and one (1) year of management experience as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of the classification.
- Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling nine (9) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Qualifications
- Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
Skills
Experience: Entering and retrieving data from multiple information systems including the New Mexico Women, Infants & Children Program Automated Data System; Recruiting, hiring and coaching staff. Providing guidance and leadership to WIC Nutritionist Supervisors. Collaborating and coordinating with other organizations within the community; Ensuring adherence to WIC policies, protocols and procedures.

Employment Requirements
- Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
- Standing, sitting, walking, reaching, bending and stooping for extended periods of time may be required throughout the day.
