Wi-Fi Test Automation Engineer
What's the Job?
Perform comprehensive end-to-end user experience testing of gateways, WiFi extenders, and home networking devices, including functional, performance, regression, and interoperability assessments.
Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and test scripts using Java and cucumber to enhance testing coverage and operational efficiency.
Validate WiFi technologies such as 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, mesh networking, band steering, roaming, and wireless backhaul to ensure optimal performance.
Analyze and troubleshoot complex issues across entire network systems, working with protocols like DHCP, DNS, IPv4/IPv6, NAT, TCP/UDP, and other connectivity standards.
Drive automation strategies, improve testing processes, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery of high-quality products.
What's Needed?
- Extensive experience (5-8+ years) in device testing, wireless networking, or broadband hardware.
- Proficiency in testing gateways, WiFi extenders, and home networking devices, with a solid understanding of WiFi technologies including 802.11 standards.
- Strong skills in test automation, particularly with Java and cucumber frameworks.
- Experience working with networking protocols such as DHCP, DNS, IPv4/IPv6, NAT, TCP/UDP.
- Excellent communication, debugging, problem-solving, and documentation skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
