Joe Myers Toyota is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Wholesale / Retail Parts Associate to join our Parts Department. This full-time, salaried position assists retail customers, wholesale accounts, and in-house departments with parts needs while providing professional, efficient, and knowledgeable service.
Responsibilities
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Review inventory using the dealership computer system to verify parts availability.
- Pull purchased parts from stock.
- Determine availability of out-of-stock parts and place emergency orders when requested.
- Calculate and verify customer invoices using the dealership computer system.
- Answer incoming phone calls and provide price quotes and other requested information.
- Prepare orders for daily shipment, delivery, or customer pickup.
- Contact and solicit assigned wholesale accounts by phone.
- Maintain a professional, friendly, and efficient attitude with customers and coworkers.
- Provide the same high level of service to other dealership departments as provided to outside customers.
Back Counter Responsibilities
- Assist service technicians in selecting parts needed for repairs in progress.
- Open repair order envelopes for all new repair orders.
- Order parts that are not currently in stock.
- Notify the Shop Foreman when ordered parts are received.
- Assist with incoming parts phone calls when the front counter is busy.
- Verify that technicians provide a duplicate copy of the repair order and a parts requisition before parts are charged out.
- File the requisition copy in the appropriate repair order envelope.
- Process credits for returned parts and ensure the original invoice or invoice number is available.
Requirements
- Previous automotive parts, dealership, wholesale, retail, or customer service experience preferred.
- Automotive parts knowledge is highly preferred.
- Ability to accurately identify and locate automotive parts.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn dealership parts software.
- Ability to handle cash, credit card, and other customer transactions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with technicians, service advisors, customers, and dealership personnel.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and a team player.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Clean driving record.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is customer-service oriented, organized, dependable, and knowledgeable about automotive parts. The ability to work well with both retail and wholesale customers, as well as the dealership's Service and Parts teams, is essential.

Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Saturday position (one day off during the week).
