About the Role

The CMA/LPN plays a crucial role in making a positive first impression with patients and their families. They assist the physician in various tasks and educate patients on their medical conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Greets patients courteously and assists them to the examination room
  • Records vital signs, chief complaints, medications, and allergies
  • Assists with examinations, blood draws, lab specimens, injections, and minor surgical procedures
  • Educates patients and family members on their medical conditions
  • Orders diagnostic tests and makes referrals
  • Communicates test results and performs quality control measures on medical equipment
  • Maintains inventory and orders supplies
  • Schedules patients and handles clerical duties

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Patient registration knowledge/experience with EPIC
  • Medical office experience
  • Certified or registered Medical Assistant certification
  • Licensed Practical Nurse license
  • Computer experience

Employment Status

FULL TIME, Piqua/Sidney locations, and other WHMG Medical Office locations

Working Hours

40 hours a week - (80 hours per pay period), 1st shift - NO weekends, NO holidays, Monday - Friday - 6:45am - 5:30pm (8-10 hour shifts)
