Whey Technician 1

About the role

The Whey Process Operator will ensure that the steps for producing a product that meets TCCA's high standard of quality are taken and notify the shift supervisor when issues arise. They are responsible for understanding and operating whey processing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage volumes and rotations of liquid storage silos
• Collect samples of product for performance analysis
• Operate, monitor, and maintain membrane systems and equipment
• Comply with GMP, HACCP, Safety rules and other company operating requirements
• Clean and sanitize process systems while following Master Sanitation Schedule
• Troubleshoot and solve any processing problems during operation
• Ensure all records are accurate and up to date
• Maintain the processing areas, CIP room and control room in a safe, sanitary, and efficient working order

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED
• 0-3 years experience in the food industry preferred
• Ability to lift and carry 55 lbs safely
• Ability to work various shifts and weekends
• Able to work in a production environment with a mild to extreme temperature range
• Ability to climb stairs up to a height of 85 feet
• Ability to obtain scissor lift and pallet jack certifications
