Responsibilities
- Receive the next service repair job from the team leader.
- Inspect incoming units for wheel damage.
- Daily walk the lot and inspect units with cosmetic damage on wheels for repair.
- Repair cosmetically damaged wheels. If wheels are bent/cracked, notify the dealership manager.
- Partner with other departments, as applicable, to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Perform quality-control inspections on all vehicles before they proceed to the next step of the reconditioning process.
- Stay informed of all safety guidelines from management and other agencies, especially regarding the disposal of hazardous waste.
- Keep the work area clean and maintain the condition of both personal tools and shop tools.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to pass a motor vehicle record check successfully.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check successfully.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, or kneel.
- Self-motivated and diligent.
- Extremely organized with dedicated attention to detail.
- Clear focus on delivering work of the highest quality. The ability to operate a manual transmission is a plus.
- Experience is required.
