Wheel Repair Technician

Responsibilities

  • Receive the next service repair job from the team leader.
  • Inspect incoming units for wheel damage.
  • Daily walk the lot and inspect units with cosmetic damage on wheels for repair.
  • Repair cosmetically damaged wheels. If wheels are bent/cracked, notify the dealership manager.
  • Partner with other departments, as applicable, to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Perform quality-control inspections on all vehicles before they proceed to the next step of the reconditioning process.
  • Stay informed of all safety guidelines from management and other agencies, especially regarding the disposal of hazardous waste.
  • Keep the work area clean and maintain the condition of both personal tools and shop tools.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to pass a motor vehicle record check successfully.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check successfully.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, or kneel.
  • Self-motivated and diligent.
  • Extremely organized with dedicated attention to detail.
  • Clear focus on delivering work of the highest quality. The ability to operate a manual transmission is a plus.
  • Experience is required.
