Primary Responsibilities
- Create and implement social media content calendars across various platforms.
- Create engaging and relevant content, including posts, images, videos, and stories.
- Maintain social media channels by monitoring comments, messages, and mentions, responding to inquiries, and engaging with followers.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute social media campaigns, promotions, and contests.
- Analyze social media metrics and insights to track performance and optimize content and strategies.
- Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate new ideas and technologies into the strategy.
- Perform administrative tasks necessary to the department's overall administration, such as coordinating donation requests, ticket requests, and invoice management.
Minimum Requirements
- Equivalent to a four-year college degree in Journalism, Communications, or Public Relations.
- Up to six months of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in public and media relations, composing, editing and publication production, news, broadcasting, and print media, and/or marketing, advertising, and creative services.
- Graphic design; word processing; desktop publishing; web design; presentation; spreadsheet and/or database software; public presentation.
- Experience managing content for social media channels.
- Knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative thinking with a keen eye for design and storytelling.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of analytics tools such as Status Brew, Google Analytics or social media analytics platforms.
- Experience with graphic design, photography, or video editing is a plus.
- Passion for social media and staying current with the latest trends and developments.
- Interest in the performing arts.
Desired Qualifications
- One to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in public and media relations, composing, editing and publication production, news, broadcasting, and print media, and/or marketing, advertising, and creative services.
- Graphic design; word processing; desktop publishing.
- Affinity for working in a team environment and liaising with a variety of stakeholders.
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (or something similar), Microsoft 365, and Project Management Tools.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at once.
- Willingness to work both standard and non-standard schedules, including nights and weekends as needed.
