Primary Responsibilities

  • Create and implement social media content calendars across various platforms.
  • Create engaging and relevant content, including posts, images, videos, and stories.
  • Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and mentions.
  • Respond to inquiries and engage with followers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute social media campaigns, promotions, and contests.
  • Analyze social media metrics and insights to track performance and optimize strategies.

Minimum Requirements

  • Knowledge equivalent to a four-year college degree in Journalism, Communications, or Public Relations.
  • Up to six months of related and progressively more responsible work experience in public and media relations, marketing, advertising, and creative services.
  • One to three years of related and progressively more responsible work experience in journalism, broadcasting, and print media.
  • Experience managing content for social media channels.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft 365, and project management tools.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to work standard and non-standard schedules, including nights and weekends.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative thinking and storytelling ability.
  • Basic knowledge of analytics tools.
  • Experience with graphic design, photography, or video editing is a plus.
  • Passion for social media and staying current with trends.
  • Interest in the performing arts.

Desired Qualifications

  • Graphic design, word processing, desktop publishing, web design, presentation, spreadsheet, and database software proficiency.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft 365, and project management tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of analytics tools such as Status Brew, Google Analytics, or social media analytics platforms.
  • Experience with graphic design, photography, or video editing.
