WFSE 4.7 TRANSFER | Corrections Specialist 4 - Reentry CBI

About the role

The Department of Corrections (DOC) has a permanent, full time Corrections Specialist 4 opening available within the Reentry Division - CBI Unit. Position #WC09 performs work out of Seattle, WA. Hours of work for this position are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. Work hours are determined by unit needs and are at the discretion of the unit supervisor. If you are currently working an alternate work schedule, please be aware that this position may not be able to honor that schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of reentry strategies and programs.
• Provide case management services to offenders transitioning back into the community.
• Coordinate with community partners to ensure successful reintegration of offenders.
• Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized reentry plans.
• Monitor offender progress and provide necessary support and interventions.
• Prepare reports and documentation related to offender reentry activities.

Requirements

• Current permanent status in the Corrections Specialist 4 class.
• Representation by the Washington Federation of State Employees (WFSE).
• Knowledge of correctional practices and reentry strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, social work, psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in corrections or related field.
• Experience working with individuals in reentry programs.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Pay

The starting salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 annually. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
