CORRECTIONS SPECIALIST 3 - Quality Assurance Records (WFSE Internal Transfer Only)
Internal transfer opportunity for permanent, full-time Corrections Specialist 3 (CS3) within the Quality Assurance Records Unit at DOC Headquarters in Tumwater, WA. Work is performed in a telework setting with occasional in-person meetings at headquarters, prison facilities, or community corrections offices statewide.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Work hours are determined by unit needs and may not accommodate alternate work schedules.
Requirements
This position is available to internal transfer candidates only under WFSE Section 2 Supplemental DOC Article 4.7 of the 2025-2027 Collective Bargaining Agreement. Eligible employees must:
- Be requesting a transfer under Section 2 Supplemental DOC Article 4.7 of the WFSE CBA.
- Be a permanent DOC employee.
- Hold permanent status in the Corrections Specialist 3 job class.
- Be currently represented by WFSE.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Five (5) years’ experience processing, maintaining, and reviewing legal records used to determine agency jurisdiction and sentencing calculations in a correctional facility, community corrections, or other legal agency or experience supervising staff performing these functions.
College-level coursework in criminal justice, business administration, accounting, social science, or a related field may substitute, year for year, for up to two years of experience.
