Wet Room Operator
About the role
The person hired for the position of WET ROOM OPERATOR will work at our 3M NEWARK plant site. As a WET ROOM OPERATOR, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world.
Responsibilities
- Work off shifts and overtime
- Comply with corporate policies, procedures and security standards while performing assigned duties
- Contribute to a strong Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) culture by following safety policies, identifying hazards, and engaging in continuous improvement
Requirements
- High School Degree or GED from certified education institution
- Minimum of 1 year or more of experience in production
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a chemical manufacturing, processing, or handling environment
- Proficiency with basic computer applications and the ability to learn plant-specific software systems
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proven track record of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives
- Previous experience operating forklifts, hoists, or other material handling equipment
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, with solid mathematical aptitude
- Ability to prioritize workload, multitask, and maintain attention to detail while meeting production and quality requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a chemical manufacturing, processing, or handling environment
- Previous experience operating forklifts, hoists, or other material handling equipment
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, with solid mathematical aptitude

Pay
The starting rate of pay for this position is $30,10, with the potential to reach $31,95 . This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
