Western PA Program Manager
About the role
The Committee of Seventy is seeking a Program Manager for Western Pennsylvania. This role is remote but requires a base in the Greater Pittsburgh area. The position is grant-funded for the first twelve months but is expected to continue with ongoing funding.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the development of the How Pittsburgh and Allegheny County Work guide, involving local subject matter experts and promoting community workshops.
- Create content for digital and traditional media to raise awareness of the guide.
- Develop local curricular assets for the guide in Pittsburgh-area schools.
- Support the WeVote Next programs in western PA, including the PA Youth Mock Election and related teacher trainings.
- Work with Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts to grow their classroom program.
- Engage in nonpartisan voter education and support during election cycles.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Political Science, History, Communication, Education, Nonprofit Management).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in program or project management, operations management, or a related field within the nonprofit sector or government agencies.
- Proven track record of managing complex programs and delivering measurable results.
- Strong understanding of good governance principles, public policy issues, and nonprofit best practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-motivated, responsible, and capable of working remotely from the C70 home office in Philadelphia, and traveling to events in western PA.

- Proficiency in project management software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-motivated, responsible, and comfortable working remotely from the C70 home office (based in Philadelphia), and able to travel to events in western PA.
