West Zone Leader- Underwriting, Middle Market Excess Casualty

About the role

Drive underwriting strategy and performance in the West Zone for Middle Market Excess Casualty business. Lead a team of underwriters to ensure risk assessment and pricing are accurate and competitive.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement underwriting strategies that align with company goals and market trends.
• Manage a team of underwriters to ensure they meet performance targets and provide quality service to clients.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and price risks accurately and competitively.
• Stay informed on industry developments and regulatory changes impacting the Middle Market Excess Casualty segment.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners to foster long-term business growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in insurance underwriting, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
• Proven track record of successful underwriting and risk management.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Middle Market Excess Casualty markets and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with underwriting software and tools.
