About the role

As a Clinical Nurse Educator at West Wyalong Health Service, you will be instrumental in the development and career success of the nursing team. You will be the go-to expert for nursing education, providing engaging evidence-based programs and support to enhance clinical knowledge and skills. Reap the benefit of your patient and customised approach to education; ensuring all nursing staff can apply their learning to clinical practice and deliver safe, high-quality healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and coordinate clinical education and professional development
  • Orient, supervise and mentor staff, students and TPP participants
  • Promote clinical leadership, best practice and a positive learning culture
  • Contribute to district-wide education, training and policy development
  • Provide unit-based and individual education and skill support
  • Delegate and support Nurses and others within scope of practice
  • Maintain contemporary practice and meet CNE/CME Framework requirements
  • Participate in audits, quality activities and care delivery aligned with safety standards

Qualifications

The successful applicant must hold a current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and possess a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification. Previous experience in a clinical education role is highly desirable.

Pay

$120,652.51 - $124,565.90 per annum, pro rata (+ super + 17.5% leave loading where applicable)
