About the role

The role involves ensuring equitable access to academic instruction and participation for diverse student populations, implementing evidence-based services, and collaborating with the education team to enhance student outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements services tailored to meet the unique needs of students
  • Collaborates with the education team to strengthen connections between home, school, and community
  • Enhances student outcomes and prepares them for postsecondary and workforce success
  • Supports growth and development to close achievement gaps
  • Through reflection, advocacy, and leadership, improves the outcomes and development of students

Requirements

  • License as a licensed professional in special education
  • Knowledge of the ways in which learning takes place, including appropriate levels of intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development
  • Compliance with applicable state and federal laws, district administrative policies, procedures, and practices
  • Professionalism, ethical conduct, reflection, and leadership
  • Mastery of and expertise in school nursing
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

  • Experience with evidence-based services and/or specially designed instruction
  • Understanding of the interconnectedness of the home, school, and community
  • Knowledge of effective classroom and positive behavior management
  • Knowledge of Special Education, other educational programming, and associated legal requirements
  • Knowledge of the academic, emotional, physical, and social development of students
  • Experience with technology integration to support learning
  • Experience with data privacy laws and their implications for the educational community

$52,020.00 - $83,163.00 (Based on education and experience at 100% FTE)

Schedule

Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, 183 days per year
