About the role

This position is for a licensed professional who ensures equitable access to academic instruction and supports students with unique needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements evidence-based services and/or specially designed instruction to meet student needs
  • Collaborates with the education team to strengthen connections between home, school, and community
  • Enhances student outcomes and prepares them for postsecondary and workforce success
  • Supports growth and development to close achievement gaps
  • Through reflection, advocacy, and leadership, improves student outcomes and professional development
  • Adapts services for students with diverse needs and interests
  • Safeguards students at all times
  • Establishes and communicates high expectations for students
  • Engages students in learning activities
  • Provides services aligned with state and federal laws, local policies, and student needs
  • Responds to safety and crisis situations
  • Supervises volunteers and paraprofessionals
  • Creates a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment
  • Uses technology to support professional responsibilities, instruction, and student learning

Requirements

The ideal candidate holds a Special Services Provider License from the Colorado Department of Education and has experience in Special Education.

Pay

$52,020.00 - $83,163.00 based on education and experience at 100% FTE

Schedule

Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7.5 hours per day
