About the role
The role involves ensuring equitable access to academic instruction and participation for diverse student populations, implementing evidence-based services, and supporting student growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Develops, implements, and supports evidence-based services and/or specially designed instruction to meet the unique needs of students.
- Collaborates with the education team to strengthen connections between home, school, and community.
- Enhances student outcomes and development through reflection, advocacy, and leadership.
- Adapts services for the benefit of students and ensures they are supervised at all times.
- Engages students as individuals with diverse needs and interests, across a range of ability levels.
- Establishes and communicates high expectations and uses strategies to support the development of critical-thinking, problem-solving skills, and self-advocacy.
- Maintains accurate records and manages materials and supplies.
- Models and promotes effective communication and appropriate conduct.
- Provides services aligned with state and federal laws, local policies, and student needs.
- Responds to safety and/or crisis situations as directed.
- Safeguards a safe, accessible, and predictable learning environment.
- Works collaboratively with families and/or significant adults for the benefit of students.
Requirements
- Licensed professional with a School Psychologist endorsement from the Colorado Department of Education.
- Average annual stipend of $12,000 for School Psychologist positions.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of learning processes and appropriate levels of intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development.
- Experience with effective services that reduce barriers to and support learning.
- Expertise in school psychology and integration of evidence-based practices and research findings.
- Leadership in the school, community, and teaching profession.
- Mastery of and expertise in school psychology.
- Professional conduct, ethical conduct, reflection, and leadership.
- Effective communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Technology proficiency, including office productivity applications.
- Knowledge of Colorado Academic Standards, curriculum, standards-based instruction, assessment, and differentiation.
- Experience with effective classroom and positive behavior management.
- Understanding of data privacy laws and their implications for the educational community.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training as required.

$52,020.00 - $83,163.00 (Based on education and experience at 100% FTE)
Schedule
37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day, 183 days per year.
