About the role

The role involves ensuring equitable access to academic instruction and participation for diverse student populations, implementing evidence-based services, and supporting student growth and development.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements, and supports evidence-based services and/or specially designed instruction to meet the unique needs of students.
  • Collaborates with the education team to strengthen connections between home, school, and community.
  • Enhances student outcomes and development through reflection, advocacy, and leadership.
  • Adapts services for the benefit of students and ensures they are supervised at all times.
  • Engages students as individuals with diverse needs and interests, across a range of ability levels.
  • Establishes and communicates high expectations and uses strategies to support the development of critical-thinking, problem-solving skills, and self-advocacy.
  • Maintains accurate records and manages materials and supplies.
  • Models and promotes effective communication and appropriate conduct.
  • Provides services aligned with state and federal laws, local policies, and student needs.
  • Responds to safety and/or crisis situations as directed.
  • Safeguards a safe, accessible, and predictable learning environment.
  • Works collaboratively with families and/or significant adults for the benefit of students.

Requirements

  • Licensed professional with a School Psychologist endorsement from the Colorado Department of Education.
  • Average annual stipend of $12,000 for School Psychologist positions.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of learning processes and appropriate levels of intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development.
  • Experience with effective services that reduce barriers to and support learning.
  • Expertise in school psychology and integration of evidence-based practices and research findings.
  • Leadership in the school, community, and teaching profession.
  • Mastery of and expertise in school psychology.
  • Professional conduct, ethical conduct, reflection, and leadership.
  • Effective communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Technology proficiency, including office productivity applications.
  • Knowledge of Colorado Academic Standards, curriculum, standards-based instruction, assessment, and differentiation.
  • Experience with effective classroom and positive behavior management.
  • Understanding of data privacy laws and their implications for the educational community.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training as required.

Pay

$52,020.00 - $83,163.00 (Based on education and experience at 100% FTE)

Schedule

37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day, 183 days per year.
