About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a special interest in Oncology based at Ayrshire Maternity Unit, University Hospital Crosshouse. This is a full-time, permanent post offering the chance to work within a supportive, multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality obstetric and gynaecological care to women across Ayrshire.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the delivery of comprehensive obstetric and gynaecological services
- Provide specialist input in gynaecological oncology
- Participate fully in clinical governance, teaching, audit, and service development
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues across maternity, gynaecology, oncology, and wider women’s health services
- Participate in the Obstetrics and Gynaecology out-of-hours rota
Requirements
- Appropriate specialist training and experience relevant to obstetrics, gynaecology, and oncological care
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
Schedule
40 hours per week. From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will reduce to 36 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings.
