About the Company
DDS Engineering and Surveying, LLP (DDSE) is an experienced and highly qualified natural gas/civil engineering, permitting, and survey firm that has been performing consulting engineering and construction services in the natural gas industry for many years. We provide engineering services related to natural gas transmission, distribution main design, station design (M&R, gate stations, and regulator stations), and customer services (residential and commercial) for a variety of natural gas customers throughout the Northeast. Our dynamic team includes experienced natural gas engineers, civil and mechanical engineers, surveyors, gas construction personnel, and in-house staff with expertise in legal, compliance, and safety.
About the Role
The Engineering Co-op is responsible for assisting the Engineering Department with ongoing Land Development and/or Energy Design projects. This role involves working closely with Project Managers and other Engineering staff to collect detailed data, gather information or documents, assist with permitting, perform basic redlining, and handle survey field/mapping tasks using AutoCAD Map 3D.
Requirements
- Current student actively pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with sound analytical capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.
- Ability to perform basic AutoCAD tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.
Pay
$20/hour.
