Wellness Strategy Manager

About the role
This position is responsible for managing new and existing client relations and driving engagement within wellness programs. The role focuses on project management of client customization and integration of services, relationship building, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the life of the client.
Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the account, collaborating with sales, brokers, consultants, and internal teams post-implementation for all new accounts.
- Fully understand and communicate client expectations and background to ensure a successful launch of WellnessIQ programs.
- Participate in implementation kick-off calls and ongoing project meetings with client stakeholders.
- Post-launch, prepare and coordinate formal presentations to clients, consultants, brokers, members, and producers regarding product, plan design, member education, service results, and renewals (requires travel to client locations).
- Establish a working relationship with the client point-of-contact; develop and oversee the account service strategy, including regularly scheduled meetings as agreed upon by the client.
- Prepare agendas, minutes, deliverable tracking, and other project documentation to communicate progress internally and externally.
- Organize and oversee client site visits, screenings, and health fairs as necessary.
- Take ownership of service issues on behalf of the client point-of-contact and work with service partners to resolve problems.
- Communicate the status of ongoing service issues to the client point-of-contact in a timely manner.
- Work with the Senior Wellness Strategy Manager and Wellness Strategy Team Leads to resolve client service issues.
- Prepare proposals for system enhancements that may arise outside of the initial implementation; track and manage enhancements while keeping the client informed of progress and expected timelines.
- Provide client point-of-contact support on benefit design changes.
- Oversee client management reporting, including Monthly Activity Reports, Quarterly Reports, Annual Reviews, and financial performance guarantees.
- Work collaboratively with the Wellness Strategy Team Lead and VP of Operations to develop and deliver engagement/strategy recommendations to clients.
- Communicate with the VP of Operations regarding operational and platform-related issues.
- Capitalize on new revenue opportunities for existing clients by developing and executing a successful client management strategy, coordinating with the Sales Consultant as needed.
- Deliver and manage client renewals to consultants, brokers, and clients to ensure retention, profitability, revenue, and satisfaction objectives align with company goals.
- Confidently manage a book of business post-implementation through client growth phases, including short- and long-term strategy.
- Work in tandem with the Client Experience Manager to ensure project timelines are met and support is provided to the highest standards for clients.
- Assist clients in building a business case for wellbeing as a business strategy.
- Follow current HIPAA/HITECH guidelines and procedures as described in the WellnessIQ Policy Manual.
- Maintain the security of transmission or receipt of all emails, files, documents, and reports that may contain PHI, as described in the WellnessIQ Policy Manual.
- Understand health insurance and related benefits.
- Use individual creativity or professional background to enhance content available to clients and grow programs within WellnessIQ.
- Effectively leverage company-approved AI tools, including Microsoft Copilot, to improve efficiency, organization, communication, and overall productivity.
Requirements
- Customer service experience required.
- BA or BS college degree preferred.
- Insurance brokerage experience, specifically in employee benefits, preferred.
- Health and wellness or hospitality experience preferred.
- Account management or project management experience preferred.
- Any combination of education, experience, and training that provides the knowledge and abilities to perform the job will be considered.

Pay
The pay range for this role is $50,001 - $55,000 USD per year (Corporate Office).
Schedule
- Climate-controlled office environment with periodic travel to client offices, wellness events, company meetings, and implementation activities.
- Frequent travel is an essential function of this role and may include overnight, multi-day, and out-of-state travel for broker meetings, client meetings, conferences, training, and other business needs.
- Travel demands may fluctuate based on client needs, onboarding timelines, business initiatives, and periods of increased activity. While advance notice for travel will be provided when possible, certain business needs may require travel on shorter notice.
