About the role
The Wellness Nurse at Spectrum Retirement Communities supports the health and well-being of residents through clinical monitoring and support. This role requires flexibility, adaptability, and a warm, encouraging disposition.
Responsibilities
- Supports ongoing clinical monitoring and resident care
- Aids in the resident admission process, including screening, assessment, and care needs coordination
- Ensures medications are administered according to physicians' orders
- Coordinates care and services with outside providers, including resident physicians
- Documents and reports care provided and resident observations
- Maintains a working knowledge of state regulations, policies, and procedures
Requirements
- Current nursing license and state registration (LPN or RN)
- Three years’ experience in assessment and geriatric nursing, preferred
- Graduated from an accredited school of practical nursing
- Working knowledge of state regulations, policies, and procedures
- A big smile, eagerness to learn, and compassion for residents
