Wellness Nurse

About the role

The Wellness Nurse at Spectrum Retirement Communities supports the health and well-being of residents through clinical monitoring and support. This role requires flexibility, adaptability, and a warm, encouraging disposition.

Responsibilities

• Supports ongoing clinical monitoring and resident care
• Aids in the resident admission process, including screening, assessment, and care needs coordination
• Ensures medications are administered according to physicians' orders
• Coordinates care and services with outside providers, including resident physicians
• Documents and reports care provided and resident observations
• Maintains a working knowledge of state regulations, policies, and procedures

Requirements

• Current nursing license and state registration (LPN or RN)
• Three years’ experience in assessment and geriatric nursing, preferred
• Graduated from an accredited school of practical nursing
• Working knowledge of state regulations, policies, and procedures
• A big smile, eagerness to learn, and compassion for residents
