About the Role
The Wellness Nurse assists the Resident Care Director with managing, directing, and developing a comprehensive care program for all residents of the community. Responsibilities include training and managing a team of CNAs and serving as a liaison with family members, community agencies, physicians, and care providers.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Resident Care Director in managing and developing a comprehensive care program for residents.
- Train and manage a team of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
- Serve as a liaison between family members, community agencies, physicians, and care providers.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and physicians.
- Assist with daily living activities for residents, including standing, sitting, bending, and transferring residents (with and without assistance).
Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Massachusetts license.
- 1+ years of experience working with elderly and/or Alzheimer's populations.
- Ability to meet physical requirements, including standing, sitting, bending, and transferring residents.
- Strong communication skills and punctuality.
Schedule
Part Time: 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM, every other weekend in the Memory Care neighborhood.
Pay
Rates start at $35 per hour.
