About the Role

The Wellness Nurse assists the Resident Care Director with managing, directing, and developing a comprehensive care program for all residents of the community. Responsibilities include training and managing a team of CNAs and serving as a liaison with family members, community agencies, physicians, and care providers.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Care Director in managing and developing a comprehensive care program for residents.
• Train and manage a team of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
• Serve as a liaison between family members, community agencies, physicians, and care providers.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and physicians.
• Assist with daily living activities for residents, including standing, sitting, bending, and transferring residents (with and without assistance).

Requirements

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Massachusetts license.
• 1+ years of experience working with elderly and/or Alzheimer's populations.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including standing, sitting, bending, and transferring residents.
• Strong communication skills and punctuality.

Schedule

Part Time: 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM, every other weekend in the Memory Care neighborhood.

Pay

Rates start at $35 per hour.
