Wellness Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provides licensed nursing services to residents and may require supervision of other staff positions.
• Responsible for medication administration for the residents in compliance with Federal & Stateregulations.
• May be responsible for the admissions of new residents to include all admission assessments and documentation.
• Completes service plans.
• Maintains confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information.
• Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
• Notifies physicians and/or family of any change in resident’s health and provides proper documentation.
• Responds quickly to all emergencies.
• Works as part of a team and handles multiple tasks safely and effectively while maintaining close communication with all departments and staff members.
• Provides educational meetings for residents and staff and attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
• May provide oversight and direction for care staff.
• Understands their role in the Safety & Disaster Plan.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures of Morningside Elite Management.

Requirements

• Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse LPN of the state.
• A Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certified or willing to become certified.
