Wellness Director

About the role

The Wellness Director at Myrtle Beach Manor is responsible for providing overall leadership and management of the health and well-being of the residents within the community.

Responsibilities

• Providing leadership and management of the health and well-being of the residents
• Assisting in the training and on-boarding of clinical and care coordinator team members
• Assisting and partnering with the Regional Director of Resident Care to provide Medication Care Manager training (in states where allowed)
• Leading all clinical programs
• Ensuring quality assurance and regulatory compliance

Requirements

• Education: Certified Nurse | RN | LPN with an Associate or Bachelor’s degree
• Experience: At least 2 years of department management experience working with elders or disabled individuals
• Licenses/Certifications: Current RN or LPN license, CPR certification
• Skills: Demonstrated leadership capabilities, multi-department experience strongly preferred, knowledge and experience in Assisted Living industry and Dementia care or Skilled Nursing

Skills

• Understanding of infection control procedures
• Demonstrated ability to schedule, orientate and train staff
• Proficient in using MS Office
• Understanding of Personalized Service Plans
• Understanding of advanced directives and end-of-life care
• Understanding of the assisted living philosophy
• Understanding of nursing function in assisted living, quality of care and quality of life objectives
