Wellness Director

About the role

The Wellness Director oversees and coordinates the wellness program, addressing the social and wellness needs of residents through planned activities, exercise programming, and leisure activities. They also manage staff, ensure financial viability, and implement the care plan and assessment process for all residents.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the wellness program
• Manage staff selection, training, development, and performance
• Ensure financial viability of the department, including budget management
• Implement and manage the care plan and assessment process for all residents

Qualifications

• Must meet qualifications as required by federal regulations 483.15(f)(2)
• Qualified professional with relevant experience or credentials
• Bachelor’s Degree in Recreational Therapy, Exercise Physiology preferred
• Manager experience and experience coordinating volunteer programs preferred
• BLS Certification preferred
