About the role
The Wellness Director – RN position at Meridian Senior Living is responsible for delivering comprehensive personal care services to residents, ensuring quality care aligns with residents' healthcare needs, and supervising a team of caregivers.
Responsibilities
- Deliver personal care services to residents in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Treat residents with respect and dignity.
- Coordinate, train, and supervise resident care staff.
- Oversee the wellness department, including Assistant, Case Manager, HHA's, Med Techs, and LPNS.
- Assess residents' health conditions and develop Individual Service Plans (ISPs).
- Manage staffing needs and oversee medication administration.
- Supervise the wellness department 24/7, including 22 assisted living residents and 50 memory care residents.
Requirements
- Must be an RN in good standing and meet all State health requirements.
- Experience in Assisted Living and/or Long-term care for at least 3 years.
- Knowledge of State and local rules, regulations, laws, and ordinances relevant to licensed senior housing.
- Previous supervisory and/or management experience in a healthcare setting.
- Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
- Effective communication skills with residents, families, staff, community, and public.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks based on fluctuating resident needs.
- Ability to develop systems and trainings for monitoring resident health and ensuring efficient care delivery.
- Independent judgment and discretion in supervising department employees.
- Meet all health requirements and pass background checks.
Qualifications
