Responsibilities

  • Manage the operation of the Wellness Department, maintaining standards in elder care services.
  • Supervise and oversee the Wellness Department team, including training and assigning overall duties in accordance with the elders' needs.
  • Meet financial and budgetary guidelines.
  • Uphold state regulations and procedures.
  • Create staffing schedules that meet state guidelines, handle time off requests, and manage overtime guidelines or other modifications in work schedules.
  • Communicate and enforce policies and procedures, including the Employer's policies and procedures, and directly discipline and/or effectively recommend corrective and disciplinary action to enforce such policies.
  • Direct and coordinate elder service plans from move-in to move-out, completing timely and accurate assessments and evaluations as required by state regulations and Compass Senior Living policy.
  • Lead the Quality Assurance program, trending and tracking, and correcting incidents as required by State Regulators, elder, and community team members.
  • Perform licensed nurse tasks and medication passes within the scope of practice as allowed by state law.
  • Assist with coordinating care to elders with third-party providers such as therapy, home healthcare, and hospice.
  • Supervise the medication administration and/or assist with the self-administration of medication programs as required by state law.
  • Act in the absence of the Administrator if necessary.
  • Adequately adhere to and establish financial goals and budgetary guidelines for the Wellness Department.
  • Remain abreast of current State regulations and Nurse Practice Acts and comply with regulatory processes, such as State, OSHA, and EPA, assisting the community in continued compliance with the policies and procedures of Compass Senior Living, including those as outlined in the Quality Counts Policy and Procedure Manual.

Requirements

  • Licensed RN or LPN/LVN in good standing with State Licensing Authority.
  • Relevant experience in Assisted Living and Memory Care Settings.
  • The desire and talent to work with a high-functioning, empowered team.
  • Compassion, kindness, and collaboration skills to work with elders and their families.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in learning specified online programs.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a team environment.
  • The ability to work independently, be self-motivated, and be goal-directed.
  • The ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to deal with difficult, sensitive, and confidential issues.
  • Good verbal communication and the ability to read, write, and speak English with residents and coworkers who only speak English.
  • To meet all health requirements as specified by state and/or federal regulations.
  • To be able to perform duties and responsibilities (Essential Job Functions) with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • To pass a criminal background check.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
