Position Summary

The Budtender is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience by providing personalized cannabis recommendations, product education, and outstanding customer service. This role supports the day‑to‑day operations of the dispensary by assisting guests, processing transactions, maintaining compliance with Florida cannabis regulations, and contributing to a welcoming, efficient, and professional retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Greet customers, listen to their needs, and make personalized recommendations.
• Product Education: Explain the differences between cannabis types (flower, edibles, concentrates) and how to use them safely.
• Compliance: Verify IDs, adhere to purchase limits, and follow state and local laws.
• Sales & Cashier Duties: Process transactions using a POS system and handle cash accurately.
• Store Upkeep: Assist with daily cleaning, stock shelves, and maintain accurate inventory of products.

What Success Looks Like

• Improving personal AOV month over month.
• Improving personal UPT month over month.
• Improving average daily sales month over month.

Qualifications

• 6+ months in the cannabis industry.
• Cash handling experience.
• Customer service experience.
• Product knowledge (preferred but not required).
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Physical Requirements: Sitting, standing, walking, and climbing for long periods.

Work Environment

• Fast‑paced and energetic atmosphere with specialized product displays.
• Staff must adapt to busy rushes; wait times and long lines are common during peak hours.
• The environment can be loud.
