Principle Duties & Responsibilities

  • Installing, repairing, servicing machinery and equipment support systems
  • Identifying and trouble-shooting production problems
  • Maintaining production lines, performing predictive and preventive maintenance
  • Supporting daily production, addressing downtime, correcting and resetting faults, replacing sensors, cords, caps, shunts, etc.
  • In a timely manner, ensuring all automatic nut/stud feeders are stocked, verifying correct part # and free of debris before filling machine
  • Assuring all sealers/adhesives are working properly, purged as required and replaced when needed
  • Complying with Good Manufacturing Practices along with all Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Complying with all Quality System procedures, running Red Rabbits and recording each shift, properly communicating any abnormal events if required to appropriate personnel
  • Ability to understand, record, and communicate system problems and solutions
  • Performing weld robot program touch-ups
  • Performing weld robot programming for prototype work
  • Assembling and robotically welding prototype parts
  • Demonstrating good attendance with the ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays
  • Performing other duties as assigned by Managers, Supervisors, and/or Leaders to ensure the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of products, processes, and work

Required Skills, Knowledge, Abilities / Education & Experience

  • Able to work in an environment with welding fumes from robots
  • Industrial equipment electrical troubleshooting and installation
  • A sound understanding of welding fundamentals and theory
  • Robot programming and troubleshooting of FANUC and/or ABB, MOTOMAN, NACHI, KUKA equipment
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Able to understand and troubleshoot basic electrical components and schematics
  • Troubleshooting, repairing, and installing hydraulic and/or pneumatic systems
  • Troubleshooting, repairing, and programming resistance and MIG welding equipment
  • Performing basic machining
  • Completing required preventive maintenance checks and related data, ensuring proper documentation
  • Completing required logs and repair documentation, ensuring legibility and accuracy
  • Knowledge of proper Lockout/Tagout procedures
  • Able to work independently
  • Executing all job responsibilities in accordance with Quality System requirements
  • Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., twist, bend, squat, climb, stand, and walk continuously in close, confined surroundings
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing welding maintenance
  • Minimum H.S. Diploma or GED
  • Able to work mandatory overtime as required (6-7 days per week)
