Welding Trainer

About the role

As a Welding Trainer, you deliver the welding training and perform other duties related to welding training in our Houston, MS manufacturing plant. You will ensure we consistently produce skilled, production-ready welders who meet our quality, safety, and operational standards at scale.

Responsibilities

• Help create and deliver hands-on welding training to new welding trainee team members in a welding lab environment
• Provide constructive feedback to trainees as they progress through the four-week program
• Teach and enforce Accelevation welding competency standards, assessments, and progression throughout the program
• Partner closely with Operations to ensure training delivered is in line with current production needs
• Maintain all training documentation and paperwork required
• Perform general maintenance/upkeep on welding tools and machinery
• Support team members with continued development of welding skills
• Be available and willing to support training efforts across multiple shifts as needed

Qualifications

• Experience in MIG welding and a coach mindset driven to teach others
• Strong technical knowledge of welding processes relevant to production environments
• Prior experience leading, coaching, and influencing others; a desire to teach and coach others to succeed
• Experience partnering with Operations, Production, and Quality teams
• Strong communication, organization, and decision-making skills
• Welding certifications (e.g., CWI) are a plus but not required
