About the role
As a Welding Trainer, you deliver the welding training and perform other duties related to welding training in our Houston, MS manufacturing plant. You will ensure we consistently produce skilled, production-ready welders who meet our quality, safety, and operational standards at scale.
Responsibilities
- Help create and deliver hands-on welding training to new welding trainee team members in a welding lab environment
- Provide constructive feedback to trainees as they progress through the four-week program
- Teach and enforce Accelevation welding competency standards, assessments, and progression throughout the program
- Partner closely with Operations to ensure training delivered is in line with current production needs
- Maintain all training documentation and paperwork required
- Perform general maintenance/upkeep on welding tools and machinery
- Support team members with continued development of welding skills
- Be available and willing to support training efforts across multiple shifts as needed
Qualifications
- Experience in MIG welding and a coach mindset driven to teach others
- Strong technical knowledge of welding processes relevant to production environments
- Prior experience leading, coaching, and influencing others; a desire to teach and coach others to succeed
- Experience partnering with Operations, Production, and Quality teams
- Strong communication, organization, and decision-making skills
- Welding certifications (e.g., CWI) are a plus but not required
