Responsibilities

  • At all times, safety is the top priority while performing any part of your job.
  • Ensure that all established safety and company policies are being followed.
  • Communicate any issues with the area manager.
  • Execute verbal/written instructions provided by the supervisor.
  • Provide guidance and/or training to new employees as needed.
  • Read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Load work to the appropriate areas as needed to support production flow.
  • Understand the operation of equipment and work performed in the area; occasional operation of equipment or completion of work may be required.
  • Ensure that work is completed per the appropriate engineering drawing and/or work instruction and in the order identified by the production schedule or communicated priority.
  • Request kits from the stockroom and/or issue parts as needed.
  • Interface with Engineering to resolve drawing issues.
  • Assume the area Supervisor/Manager’s authority and responsibility for carrying out daily activities on occasions when the Supervisor/Manager is not present.
  • Obtain and maintain forklift certification.
  • Verify that operator preventative maintenance has been completed accurately and on time.
  • Ensure that 6S activities are performed as required.
  • Regularly verify that calibrated measuring devices and/or equipment are up to date.
  • Trained in first aid and CPR.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Three to six years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
