Welder

Responsibilities

• Maintains Compliance to environmental standard.
• Contributes to Team Effort
• Conserves Resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Maintains Weld Dept appearance by transporting materials to disposal area; recycling materials.
• Daily 5S. Cleaning as needed.
• Maintains safe working environment.
• Stores completed welded parts by placing item in appropriate storage area or staging area specified on work order.
• Ensures operation of Equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
• Maintains specifications by observing operations, detecting malfunctions, inspecting parts, adjusting controls.
• Regulates Machines by setting up adjusting controls.
• Setting must be within parameters specified on the SOP.
• Welds parts by pulse arc mig welding.
• Parts must be welded per print and instructions on work order.
• Carrying, pushing, or pulling parts to area.
• Lifting and bending frequently.
• Steel toed shoes are required at all times.
• Safety glasses are required at all times.
• Hearing protection required at all times.
• Within the weld cells, proper PPE must be worn.

Requirements

• Must be a high school graduate or have equivalent training.
• Must have Mig welding experience.
• Must be able to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Must have knowledge of safety regulations.
• Must be able to lift a maximum of 51 lbs. on average during a normal workday.
• Must be able to operate computers.
• Must have the ability to pull a job order utilizing a work order.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to read and interpret basic documents, safety rules and other correspondence.
• Ability to count and ability to measure equipment using a tape measure.
• Must be able to work as a team.
