Primary Responsibilities

  • Program, set up, and operate robotic welding machines, specifically ABB Robots.
  • Develop and optimize welding programs and parameters to maximize efficiency and product quality.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of robotic welding systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and fabrication teams to plan, execute, and refine welding projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Able to hand MIG weld as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Robot Welder with hands-on programming capabilities.
  • Experience with robotic welding systems is required.
  • Strong understanding of welding processes, robotic programming, and fabrication techniques.
  • Able to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Able to travel for machine-specific training.

Work Environment

  • The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, such as working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or irritating chemicals.
  • May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.

Physical Demands

  • The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors of remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs., assisted or unassisted.
