Robotic Welding Supervisor 430am-1pm

About the role

Join U-Haul as a Production Supervisor in our robotic welding department, managing employees responsible for manufacturing truck and trailer parts for the world’s largest do-it-yourself moving company.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate each robotic welding station to ensure maximum efficiency.
• Hire, train, review, and support robot operators, welders, programmers, and other department employees.
• Track work orders, post production, and conduct cycle counts.
• Maintain open lines of communication between employees and managers.
• Ensure resources and assets are used efficiently and correctly.

Requirements

• 3+ years in manufacturing or assembly facilities.
• Familiar with print reading and use of inspection tools.
• Good computer skills; previous ERP experience preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills; must be able to communicate in English.
• Previous supervisory or related experience is a plus.

Work Environment

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts requiring special safety precautions, such as working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or irritating chemicals. Protective clothing or gear (e.g., masks, goggles, gloves, or shields) may be required.

Physical Demands

The role requires physical exertion, including long periods of standing, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs. (assisted or unassisted), both indoors and outdoors.
