Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee the functions of weld machines
- Teach and train robot operators as well as programmers
- Constantly improve cycle time and throughput by adjusting robot path and function
- Ensure all jobsite safety procedures and standards are met
- Work with technicians employed by machine’s proprietor
- Diagnose and correct machine issues
- Observe and implement company housekeeping, safety, and quality policies
Minimum Qualifications
- Demonstrably high level of mechanical aptitude (non-traditional backgrounds welcome)
- Able to communicate in English
- Adequate computer skills
- Able to travel for machine-specific training with robotic company
- Knowledge and experience using the GMAW processes
- Able to pass print reading, measurement and fraction/decimal conversion tests
- Able to responsibly handle confidential information
Work Environment
- The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g. working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or irritant chemicals.
- May be required to use protective clothing, or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.
Physical Demands
- The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors of remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.
