Welding (Can Fabrication) S2 - 5th Shift (Onsite)

About the role
This is an onsite position located in Clayville, NY. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance work on equipment with little to no supervision to optimize uptime.
- Prepare all parts to be fitted together for fabrication, including grinding, polishing, and cleaning.
- Fabricate stainless steel extrusion cans.
- Seal and prepare cans for shipment.
- Comply with all company rules and regulations outlined in the employee handbook.
- Carry out tasks not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this position, to support department objectives and develop skills.
- Support the cell’s continuous improvement and all CORE and EH&S initiatives, including wearing required personal protective equipment.
- Work alone with little to no supervision.
- Problem-solve minor fabrication and equipment issues.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent (e.g., G.E.D in the US) with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- Strong attendance record.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work hours outside of the regular shift.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to wear a respirator.
- Physical requirements: ascending/descending stairs, standing for extended periods, bending, squatting, twisting, overhead reach, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Basic level computer skills (general use of Microsoft Office).
- Clear understanding of shop mathematics involving decimals and fractions.
- Working knowledge of fusion welding processes and terminology.
Schedule
This position works a 5th shift schedule: Friday - Sunday, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (3x12).
Pay
The salary range for this role is $24.00 per hour. The range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
