About the role
Pratt & Whitney’s Aftermarket Repair organization (PSD) in Springdale, AR is seeking a Welder for 2nd shift. Hours are Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM with an 8% shift differential. Employees may be required to train on 1st shift (Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM). Overtime opportunities may be available after training. This is an FAA-regulated, climate-controlled facility.
Responsibilities
- Interpret weld blueprints, specifications, and work instructions accurately.
- Prepare and fixture components, ensuring proper alignment, cleanliness, and readiness for welding.
- Perform manual bench and electron beam welding in accordance with defined process parameters and quality standards.
- Monitor equipment and weld conditions, complete inspections, and address or escalate weld defects appropriately.
- Maintain equipment, follow all documentation and traceability requirements, and adhere to weld-specific safety protocols.
- Commit to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Work independently and as part of a production team.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., G.E.D in the U.S.) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in welding, precision manufacturing, or related operations.
- Technical proficiency in weld processes and equipment operation.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to recognize abnormal weld conditions.
- Effective communication and documentation skills.

Schedule
- 2nd shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM (8% shift differential).
