Phoenix-Talent School District #4 is seeking a Welding Teacher for Phoenix High School.
About the role
Teach welding and metal fabrication classes (all levels) and assist with the greenhouse as needed. Design and implement effective lessons, deliver instruction, and manage the classroom environment while meeting professional responsibilities. This position requires a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment for all students.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement effective welding/metal fabrication lessons for all skill levels.
- Deliver instruction and manage the classroom environment.
- Assist with greenhouse operations as needed.
- Fulfill professional responsibilities, including communication with students, parents, and staff.
- Address barriers to academic achievement and ensure all students have opportunities to succeed.
Requirements
- Valid Oregon TSPC-issued license for Secondary level.
- Experience in residential and/or commercial construction.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with students, parents, school personnel, and other professionals.
- Physical ability to:
- Communicate with students, co-workers, and the public (including telephone communication).
- Respond to classroom disturbances, visual cues, and student requests.
- Operate office equipment.
- Carry or lift loads up to 80 lbs.

- Preference may be given to bilingual (Spanish/English) applicants.
