Welder - Weekend Shift

About the role

As a Welder at New Flyer in Shepherdsville, you will perform various welding tasks to assemble and fabricate components according to specifications, playing a critical role in ensuring the highest quality standards in our production processes.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols
• Set up and operate welding equipment, including MIG and TIG welders
• Perform welding tasks using various welding techniques to fabricate and assemble components
• Inspect welds for accuracy, completeness, and quality; make necessary adjustments as required
• Maintain clean and organized work areas; follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and ensure smooth workflow

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Welder, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols
• Strong knowledge of TIG welding
• Ability to operate welding equipment and tools effectively
• Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality welds
• Physical strength and stamina to perform welding tasks and lift heavy materials
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Pay

Hourly wage rate: $31.38/hr

Schedule

Standard hours: Friday - Sunday, 5:00 am - 5:30 pm
