Welder - Weekend Shift

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layout and procedures
• Set up components for welding according to specifications
• Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
• Align components using calipers, rulers, and clamp pieces
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead)
• Inspect welds and structures to ensure quality and accuracy
• Maintain welding equipment in proper working condition
• Follow all safety and environmental guidelines and regulations
• Communicate any issues or inconsistencies to the supervisor promptly
• Aid with general production tasks when required
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor or management

Requirements

• Proven experience as a MIG Welder in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
• Knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manual tools
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Understanding of safety standards and willingness to follow company procedures
• Flexibility to work overtime or weekends if needed

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Completion of a welding certification program or technical training preferred
• Minimum 2 years of MIG welding experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Lifting: Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Push/Pull: Ability to push or pull metal materials and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds
• Reaching: Frequent reaching overhead and at shoulder height
• Stooping: Regular stooping and bending to weld at various angles
• Standing: Standing for long periods (up to 10 hours per day)
• Walking: Frequent walking throughout the production floor
• Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and/or equipment
