Welder Weekend shift

About the role

Responsible to ensure quality of all welded parts and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all company safety rules and ensure a safe work environment
  • Communicate professionally and effectively to peers, line leaders, supervisory staff, QC and management
  • Ensure quality of all welded parts and processes
  • Wire weld .035 & .045 wire
  • Read various measuring devices
  • Read and understand blueprints and diagrams
  • Use various hand tools
  • Remember and follow simple procedures such as scrap tickets, reject tags and MI change

Physical Requirements

  • Standing is a continuous daily job requirement; 10+ hours a day
  • Lifting 20-50 lbs. is continuous
  • Lifting over 50 lbs. is occasional and requires the use of a hoist
  • Pushing, pulling, twisting, squatting and stooping is a continuous daily requirement
  • Reaching, grasping and repetitive movement is a continuous daily requirement
  • Required to wear weld helmet, safety glasses, ear plugs, weld jacket, sleeves, gloves, steel toe shoes
  • Repetitively work overhead using a heavy weld whip
