About the role
Responsible to ensure quality of all welded parts and processes.
Responsibilities
- Follow all company safety rules and ensure a safe work environment
- Communicate professionally and effectively to peers, line leaders, supervisory staff, QC and management
- Ensure quality of all welded parts and processes
- Wire weld .035 & .045 wire
- Read various measuring devices
- Read and understand blueprints and diagrams
- Use various hand tools
- Remember and follow simple procedures such as scrap tickets, reject tags and MI change
Physical Requirements
- Standing is a continuous daily job requirement; 10+ hours a day
- Lifting 20-50 lbs. is continuous
- Lifting over 50 lbs. is occasional and requires the use of a hoist
- Pushing, pulling, twisting, squatting and stooping is a continuous daily requirement
- Reaching, grasping and repetitive movement is a continuous daily requirement
- Required to wear weld helmet, safety glasses, ear plugs, weld jacket, sleeves, gloves, steel toe shoes
- Repetitively work overhead using a heavy weld whip
