Description of Work
- Safety Practices: Follow workplace safety rules and maintain a clean and organized area
- Metal Repairs: Perform structural welding and repairs on equipment and components
- Equipment Operation: Use welding tools and related machinery to complete assigned tasks
- Environmental Support: Participate in environmental training and follow related guidelines
- Teamwork: Work effectively with others and support unit goals during daily operations
Qualifications Required
- Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Three years of experience in the operation and use of welding equipment, materials, and related shop equipment to repair, maintain, or fabricate parts, equipment, or structures; or Completion of a three-year, high school Vo-Tech training program in welding and eighteen months of experience in the operation and use of welding equipment, materials, and related shop equipment to repair, maintain, or fabricate parts, equipment, or structures; or Completion of an approved welder apprentice program ; or A welding certificate D1.1 from the American Welding Society ; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Special Requirements: This position requires possession of an active Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
