Welder - MSF Aluminum
Responsibilities
- Weld metal components together with brazing and a variety of arc and gas welding equipment to fabricate or repair products such as machine parts and plant equipment.
- Perform welding processes on aluminum and/or steel parts and assemblies to required tolerances using welding metals and metal alloys.
- Pass welding certification tests.
- Perform related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding.
- Repair broken or cracked parts, fill holes, and increase the size of metal parts.
- Locate and repair cracks in products and equipment.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Operate lathes, drill presses, mills, routers, grinding machines, duplicating and profile machines, brakes, and shears.
- Determine layouts and weld parts and assemblies according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
- Interpret drawings, sketches, and/or preliminary designs to produce weldments with minimal supervision.
- Work may be done without established procedures.
Requirements
- Strong reading comprehension skills to understand drawings, work orders, or written instructions.
- Strong mathematical skills to perform basic calculations.

- Pass welding tests and hold certifications to meet AWS D1.1 guidelines.
