Welder - MIG

About the Role

We are looking for experienced Welders to perform welding and weld finishing operations (MIG) on metal items, parts, and components to fabricate items used in the manufacturing process. This role involves meeting customer specifications, drawings, or other forms of instruction.

• Cleans weld joint or workpiece.
• Welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Welds together metal components as specified by layout, blueprints, diagrams, or manufacturing operations sheet (MOS) using electric arc-welding equipment.
• Guides electrode along weld joint, manually or semi-automatically.
• Positions or clamps workpieces together or assembles them in a jig or fixture.
• Examines weld for bead size and other specifications.
• Must be willing to float and work in other areas as business needs warrant.

Responsibilities

• MIG Welding on stainless steel, including grinding parts.
• Using Quality Control equipment (tape measure, micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Reading engineering drawings and matching parts to blueprint specifications.
• Fitting up and tacking welds.
• Welding various thicknesses of steel.

Requirements

• 6 months to 2 years of experience in MIG Welding.
• Experience with stainless steel welding and grinding.
• Proficiency in using Quality Control equipment (tape measure, micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Ability to read engineering drawings and match parts to blueprint specifications.
• Experience fitting up and tacking welds.
• Ability to weld various thicknesses of steel.
